AAC&U VALUE Rubrics
The American Association of Colleges and Universities (AAC&U) offers the Global Learning VALUE Rubric and the Intercultural Knowledge and Competence Rubric.
Developed by faculty experts representing colleges and universities across the United States, these rubrics articulate the fundamental criteria for each learning outcome along with performance descriptors and provide a foundation for all undergraduate levels to learn a basic framework of expectations and be assessed across time.
These rubrics offer students meaningful opportunities to explore global challenges, analyze diverse issues, collaborate with others, and enhance students’ sense of identities.
Global learning should enhance students’ sense of identity, community, ethics, and perspectivetaking.
