A Welcome from the Associate Director for Global Academic Engagement

My dream is that someday EVERY undergraduate Penn State student will have had an opportunity to participate in an EDGE collaborative project before graduation. We are excited that faculty from 15 of the Penn State campus communities have developed EDGE projects for their students. As a result, more students will have the opportunity to work on a project with students from around the world, thereby increasing their global awareness and intercultural competency to best prepare themselves for the 21st century workplace! 

The development of EDGE collaborative projects also challenges our faculty to increase their own global awareness while cultivating innovative, student-centered pedagogy to infuse global learning into their courses. Working with an international partner also helps to broaden faculty perspective and provides further opportunity to reflect on course content, assignments, and delivery to ensure that students are well-prepared for the global marketplace.
